Trinity Shops – why they are different
We have a diverse and interesting range of retail outlets at 21 locations across central, west and south west London. We are currently giving our existing shops a really stylish makeover and finding new outlets.
All our shops aim to be at the leading edge of charity retailing with stylish, contemporary interiors and high quality goods including sought after designer labels, retro gear and quirky treasures, as well as practical must haves for house and home.
We want to change the way people think about charity retailing. To do this we are creating exciting and well presented shops, with each one being unique and designed to suit the customer base of the local area.
Why our shops matter so much
Trinity’s shops are highly successful and a vital source of income for Trinity. It costs £9 million to fund our specialist services each year and just one third is covered by the government. This means we must raise £6 million each year.
The profits from our shops, in excess of £800,000, goes straight to Trinity. This contribution means we can continue to ensure that people have access at the end of life to expert services, at home or in our fabulous care centre at Clapham Common.
Why our shop volunteers are so important
Our shops are successful but there’s always more we can do to increase sales and make even more of a difference to the people and families Trinity supports. That’s why we need energetic, motivated and enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for retailing.
By supporting an essential local charity as a volunteer, you have the chance to make a positive contribution to your community.
What we offer our shop volunteers
We ask volunteers to give us at least half a day a week on a regular basis. With the training and support that Trinity Shops provide we hope that you will learn new and transferrable skills. Being a volunteer can help you with your career development or with a total career change. Trinity has achieved the Investing in Volunteers quality standard which means you can feel confident that you will be valued and well supported in your volunteer role.
