Visiting

How do I get to Trinity?

You will find our address, directions and a map in the Contact us area of this website.

Where can I park?

Trinity has a limited number of visitor parking spaces. If these are full, parking is available in the Pay and Display bays on Clapham Common North Side and The Chase.

When can I visit and how many visitors are allowed?

Visitors are welcome any time. After 10pm our main gates are closed but there is an entry phone and reception is manned 24 hours a day. There is no limit to the number of visitors but please respect the privacy of others.

Can children visit?

Children are always welcome but they must be accompanied by an adult who is able to supervise them at all times, inside and outside. The Inpatient Centre has a play area with games, books and an Xbox.

Can I bring in pets?

We encourage people to bring in well-behaved pets. If the person you are visiting is sharing a room, please check with a member of the nursing team first.

Can I phone in and do you have any rules about mobile phones?

You can call any time to talk to either a patient or a member of the nursing team on 020 7787 1000. You can use mobiles anywhere in our building but the signal is best in the reception area.

Do you have wireless internet?

Wireless internet is available in the Inpatient Centre. Please ask reception for the password.

Can I stay overnight?

Staying overnight is not a problem as we have spare beds that can be put in patients’ bedrooms. Children are also welcome but we ask that they are accompanied by an adult other than the patient.

Can we use the gardens?

Please make the most of our gardens – they can be very therapeutic. We just ask you to be aware of other people and our neighbours, especially at night. There are two ponds so please ensure young children are accompanied.

Can we bring in flowers?

Yes – we have a flower room where you’ll find vases and can arrange your flowers.

Do you have a shop?

No, but Clapham Old Town is just five minutes’ walk away and has many facilities, including florists, gift shops and a supermarket.

Is there anywhere I can smoke?

There is a smoking shelter in our garden and we ask visitors to use this area rather than other parts of the garden. We have a no smoking policy in all our buildings.

Where can I get a drink or snack?

The Mulberry Café, on the ground floor next to reception, welcomes you from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and serves a range of teas and coffees, hot and cold snacks and delicious cakes.

The Inpatient Centre has two coffee lounges open day and night where you can help yourself to tea and coffee. There are also board games, cards, books, magazines and newspapers.

Microwaves meals are available for a small charge – just ask a member staff.

And there is also a vending machine with cold drinks and snacks in the Mulberry Café.

If you fancy a change of scene, Clapham Old Town and Clapham High Street have plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants.
