Volunteering

Our volunteers give over 30,000 hours of support to Trinity each year – mostly in our shops, as drivers, bereavement counsellors or in our gardens. Their invaluable support and help with fundraising, makes a big difference to what we are able to achieve for the patients and families in our care.

We currently have the following volunteer vacancies:

Position Closing date
Shop volunteers Open
Deliveries co-ordinator – office role at our Wandsworth furniture shop (Garratt Lane, SW18) – Any weekday morning. Open
Carpenter – to help repair and restore furniture at our Wandsworth Furniture shop (Garratt Lane SW18)   Any day of the week. Open
PAT (electical goods) Tester – at our Wandsworth Furniture Shop (Garratt Lane SW18) – half a day a week Open

Our most urgent and ongoing need is for volunteers in our 20 shops to help with sorting stock and serving people. See Volunteering in our shops for an information pack including role description and an application form.

We do not often have volunteer vacancies that involve patient care but when we do, they will be advertised here.

Trinity achieved the Investing in Volunteers quality standard in 2005, which means you can feel confident that as volunteer you will be highly valued and well supported in your role.

All volunteers attend an induction day and are given the opportunity to shadow a more experienced volunteer or do relevant training before they start. All volunteers have a line manager to whom they can go to for support and advice.

To find out more about any of the vacancies above, please contact Anne-Marie Zaritsky, Voluntary Services Manager on 020 7787 1042 or email volunteering@trinityhospice.org.uk
