Hess donates Christmas presents

Posted on: 18 Jan 2012

Every year the employees at Hess Services UK Ltd donate Christmas presents to Trinity, and last year was no different.

This year Trinity gratefully received a variety of toys and books for our children’s areas from Hess.  These children areas make the hospice a much more welcoming place for young children and give them some space of their own within the hospice.

Trinity also received specialist art supplies to be used in therapeutic art classes. People at the end of their lives are typically prevented from accessing creative activities by their condition and isolation. Our team have a wealth of experience in working alongside them to alleviate these feelings through artistic activities and helping them to find a sense of meaning at the end of their lives. Furthermore expressing what you are feeling through art can help you to feel more in control of your emotions and your circumstances.

"Hess have worked with Trinity hospice for 3 years.  Our involvement has ranged from helping to develop the garden, to supplying art material and other forms of entertainment.   We believe in supporting Trinity to ensure that they may continue to provide the best care free of charge to end of life patients and their families." Social Responsibility Committee, Hess.
