Coffee and a makeover for Trinity supporters
Posted on: 14 Feb 2012
Manicures and massages were the order of the day at Trinity on Saturday 11 February when supporters visited for a new coffee and a makeover morning.
Mulberry Place – Trinity’s new day service centre – was busy for a coffee morning with a difference. Some visitors enjoyed a coffee and a head massage, while others learned from experts about new make-up and lotions.
Trinity fundraiser Claire Lubbock said visitors came in from a chilly Clapham Common to enjoy coffee in the Mulberry Café followed by a relaxing massage or manicure – they helped raise money for a 2012 appeal focused on Trinity's nurses.
“We had a small army of volunteers helping with coffees and cupcakes,” said Claire. “It was great to see the community supporting their local charity. The children had a good time with face-painting and lots of mums enjoyed a bit of pampering – all while helping to raise a several hundred pounds for Trinity.”
The event was generously supported by local businesses and supporters, including Urban Retreat, Neal’s Yard, Charlotte Ashenden, Escape With Beauty, Carly Rosier and Jenny Sunshine.
Mother’s Day is on 18th March. Why not hold a special Mother’s Day ‘Care for a Coffee?’ and invite all your favourite Mums along for coffee and cake?
Do something special to mark Mother’s Day this year by holding a Care for a Coffee event – simply invite your Mum, Mother-in-law or any mothers you know, as well as friends and family, and celebrate motherhood with delicious cakes and coffee. Ask guests to make a donation to Trinity at your event - all donations will help to support our nurses, so they can continue to provide expert end of life care for local people.
