Fundraising in memory of someone special
Remembering someone is a very personal thing. Many people wish to set up a Magnolia Tribute Fund as a lasting celebration of someone’s life or in recognition of the care Trinity provides. We can offer fundraising advice and the support of our bereavement team should you need it now or in the future.
Setting up a Magnolia Tribute Fund is a positive and simple way for family and friends to donate or raise money for Trinity Hospice in memory of someone special. All you need to do is contact us so that we can then allocate any gifts and donations made to your fund. All funds raised will enable other patients and their families to benefit from the support and specialist care that Trinity provides.
It is very easy to set up a Magnolia Tribute Fund dedicated to your loved one. You can do anything you like and anyone can start a Magnolia Tribute Fund in memory of a family member or friend.
You, your family and friends might like to:
- Remember a loved one and support Trinity by asking for donations in lieu of flowers at a funeral or memorial
- Consider making a regular gift to Trinity: either monthly, quarterly or annually
- Ask for donations in lieu of gifts or make a donation on special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries
- Take a table of 8-12 at our Stardust Ball at Supernova, Planit and join us for an evening of sparkle and celebration
- Take part in a sponsored walk, run or bike ride
- Hold a fundraising event in memory of your loved one such as a coffee morning or quiz evenin
- Leave a gift in your Will
- Or anything else you might wish to do which is special to you, your family and friends
As the Magnolia Tribute Fund grows we will give you a twice yearly update on how your fund is making a difference to our work. Our team are here to support and advise you, and can offer practical help on how to fundraise.

Emily's Story
After her husband Jake passed away Emily took up running on Clapham Common. She then decided to run a marathon in honour of Jake to raise money for Trinity and completed the Paris Marathon and then the London Marathon.

This year Emily is turning her hand to events and is working closely with the team at Trinity planning a casino night for friends and family.
Daniel's Story
Many of our supporters choose to do collections at the funeral of a loved one in lieu of flowers as a way to fundraise in memory and acknowledge the care that Trinity provided.
We are able to send leaflets, gift aid envelopes and collection boxes if required, as well as sending any acknowledgement to friends and family.
“Trinity cared for my wife in her final weeks and I will never forget the care and compassion showed to us by all the wonderful staff and nurses. I wanted to give something back to Trinity and so we did a collection at Jane’s funeral, rather than asking for flowers and we raised over £500. I hope this will help Trinity continue the fantastic work they do - I know it would have made Jane happy too.”
